Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the supervision of the Director / Manager of Pulmonary Services, organizes and supervises the routine activities of his / her shift. Responsible for assigning duties, staff evaluations, competencies, counseling, continuing education, direct patient care and clinical support to the staff. Serves as a resource for staff, nurses, physicians, and other hospital staff for respiratory care questions and issues. Responsible for working collaboratively with the health care team to ensure that both practice and professional standards are identified and maintained in the delivery of patient care, and that optimal patient outcomes are achieved. Promote excellence in patient care, while supporting and facilitating professional growth and development, as well as upholding standards of professionalism. The Supervisor demonstrates the knowledge and clinical skills necessary to provide age appropriate care to neonate, infant, children, adolescent, adult, and Geriatric patients.

To supervise the Echo Lab personnel, coordinate daily job assignments, and call schedules and assumes responsibility for the technical, operational, and

training activities of the Echo Lab in the Heart and Vascular Hospital of Clear Lake
