JOB PURPOSE :
The Human Resources & Talent Acquisition Specialist provides support to the Human Resources Department and is primarily responsible for talent acquisition, reporting, candidate management and positive candidate experience. The Human Resources & Talent Acquisition Specialist also provides backup support for the HR department including payroll processing and the new hire orientation. Additionally, this position maintains data and spreadsheets, report preparation, administration of the HRIS, and disseminating human resources related information to agency staff.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
1.Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, contract requirements, and the needs of the organization.
2.Manage the full-cycle recruitment process : job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and making offers of employment.
3.Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements and develop effective recruitment strategies.
4.Maintain relationships with community partners, universities, and job boards to support diverse candidate outreach.
5.Track recruitment metrics and recommend improvements to strengthen hiring outcomes.
6.Schedules interviews, oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
7.Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders, as needed.
8.Collaborates with the Director of Talent & Training during the offer process, to identify and recommend salary ranges, start dates, and other pertinent details.
9.Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
10.Assists with completing salary and pay data surveys to ensure pay scales are competitive.
11.Maintains current knowledge of compliance and industry trends.
12.Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
13.Assist with leave management including tracking and documentation.
14.Assist with tracking and updating the agency training plan and Relias completion rates.
15.Coordinate performance review cycles and employee engagement initiatives.
16.Maintain compliance with employment laws, policies, and reporting requirements.
17.Support HR data management and reporting using HRIS systems.
18.Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and training.
19.Provides backup for payroll processing and reporting as needed.
20.Attends in-person and online training or chapter meetings.
21.Maintains strict confidentiality of employee information.
22.All other tasks as assigned.
WORK SCHEDULE :
FLSA Status : Non-exempt, Full-Time Regular
Work-Week : Sunday – Saturday
