Description :

This is a cardiac telemetry unit.

The unit primarily monitors patients on cardiac telemetry.

Patients are monitored closely on the unit and in a remote telemetry room.

The typical patient population includes heart failure, heart attack, stroke, cardiac arrhythmias, and chest pain.

This unit may also accommodate overflow medical patients when necessary.

The nurse-patient ratio may increase to 1 : 7 until additional support is provided.

Travelers must work every other weekend.

Holiday requirements include working 2 out of 3 holidays.

Block scheduling will be accommodated as best as possible.

Skills required include blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line management, and interpretation of dysrhythmias.

Travelers will float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals based on volume and census.

All travelers need to complete up to 8 hours of modules prior to starting.

This is a sensitive assignment, and professional conduct is taken very seriously.

Any issues, including unprofessional behavior or shift call-offs, may result in immediate termination.

Candidates must understand and acknowledge these expectations before accepting the assignment.
