Payroll Specialist
This position is responsible for accurately processing weekly payroll for approximately 450 employees across multiple locations in Kentucky and Ohio using Paycor. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage payroll timelines in a fast ? paced, multi ? site environment. Pay for this role will range between $55K and $65K annually.
Responsibilities
- Process weekly payroll for all hourly and salaried employees using Paycor
- Review and validate timecard data for accuracy, including hours worked, overtime, shift differentials, and paid time off
- Maintain employee payroll records, ensuring updates to new hires, terminations, wage changes, and deductions are entered correctly
- Coordinate with managers at various locations in Kentucky and Ohio to resolve timesheet discrepancies and ensure timely approvals
- Calculate and audit payroll-related earnings and deductions, including garnishments, benefits, and taxes
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour regulations for both Kentucky and Ohio
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management
- Support year-end processes such as W ? 2 review and distribution
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality
- Assist with audits and maintain secure payroll documentation in accordance with company policies
Qualifications
Experience processing multi-state payroll, preferably in Kentucky and OhioProficiency with Paycor payroll systemsStrong understanding of payroll regulations, FLSA requirements, and tax principlesHigh level of accuracy, problem ? solving skills, and ability to manage strict deadlinesAbility to work collaboratively with remote and on ? site teamsAssociate degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience consideredIf you are qualified and interested in learning more, please apply now.
