Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position requiring Epic experience and a NC or compact license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Position is in an Emergency Department at a short-term acute care, Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital
• Night shifts are 4x12 hours, 19:00 to 07:00
• Patient assignment ratio is 1:5-6
• Every other weekend is required
• Floating may occur within scope between like units or to sister campuses
• Epic EMR experience is required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Return staff must be gone for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers may only extend once if on day shift or twice if on night shift, then must be absent for 6 months to return
• Pre-start modules (4-10 hours) must be completed before starting the assignment
• Royal blue and white scrubs are required
• Can only approve 1 holiday during assignment
• RTO (time off) requests are subject to manager discretion, with a maximum of 4 days unless otherwise specified

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active NC or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 3 years of ER nursing experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Local candidates not accepted within 50 miles of the main campus
