Insurance Defense Attorney

Join a national law firm as an Associate Attorney in insurance defense litigation. Work onsite / hybrid for their Houston, Texas, location expanding rapidly. Get on the ground floor with exciting case management and trial opportunities. The firm is seeking a talented lawyer that is passionate about their work. Quarterly bonus potential.

The associate will manage a diverse caseload from inception to completion, working closely with a supervising shareholder. Industries include transportation, energy, environmental, construction, healthcare, maritime and more. Hybrid / remote schedule available.

Must haves

• Texas Bar license, in good standing
• 1-7 years civil / federal defense litigation and / or insurance coverage and defense; inhouse insurance litigation experience a plus
• Experience in court hearings, depositions, and mediation
• Ability to draft discovery and develop and a discovery plan
• Draft motions, settlement documents and briefs
• Good academics from an accredited law school
• A minimum of 1 year of insurance defense litigation experience is required
