Travel Nursing Job Details

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (January 12, 2026 – April 12, 2026)

Weekly Hours : 40

Shift : 8-hour days (6 : 30am – 5 : 00pm); 30% of shifts may be 1 : 00pm – 11 : 30pm based on department needs

Call Requirement : 6 weekday and 6 weekend calls per 6-week schedule

Location : Bridgeport, CT 06606

Employment Type : Travel Nurse, On-Site

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active and clear Registered Nurse (RN) license

BLS certification required

Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience

Clinical experience in General Surgery, Robotics (DaVinci & Mako Ortho), Urology, ENT, Neuro (cervical fusion, lumbar laminectomy), Plastics (abdominoplasty, breast augmentation), GYN, and Orthopedics (total knee / hip replacements, anterior / posterior approach)

Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Experience with EPIC, Surgicount, and TECSYS preferred

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

Provide safe, effective, and compassionate perioperative nursing care for surgical patients

Circulate and scrub for a wide range of surgical procedures

Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes

Maintain accurate documentation using electronic health records (EPIC)

Participate in on-call rotation, including weekend coverage

Follow infection control and safety protocols

Mentor and support less experienced nursing staff
