The Prime Video Advertising team is at the forefront of revolutionizing the streaming advertising landscape. Our mission is to deliver ad tech solutions that power Prime Videos rapidly growing advertising business. We focus on a wide range of critical areas including ad ingestion ad delivery client-side ad experiences machine learning-driven optimization ad tracking and audience measurement. As a Prime Video technologist youll have end-to-end ownership of the product user experience design and technology required to deliver state-of-the-art experiences for our customers. As a Software Development Manager you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of streaming advertising technology.

Key job responsibilities

Key job responsibilities include :

• You will join and lead a team of passionate engineers software leaders and product owners who innovate and develop new ways to search for video content across Prime Videos expanding catalog.
• In this new organization thats experiencing rapid growth youll be responsible for elevating our existing systems driving architectural decisions and defining new services that will power our next phase of growth.
• Your expertise will be crucial in scaling our systems and architecting solutions that will support our ambitious growth targets while maintaining a delightful customer experience.
• You will lead projects that develop scalable tier-1 AWS-based software platforms that operate a multi billion dollar business.
• Finally you will partner with senior leaders across the org in developing a strategic vision for Prime Video while also mentoring and developing a team of enthusiastic engineers.
• This role reports into a Senior Manager and has direct exposure to Directors and VPs.

A day in the life

You will lead a two-pizza teams crafting delightful advertising experience for our partners and customers. Your day will involve leading the development of scalable software to power ad formats and experiences to millions of customers. Youll collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers data scientists and applied scientists.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $166400 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $287700 / year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
