This facility has 5 operating rooms and 2 procedure rooms currently in use. An average of 23 patients are handled per day. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty. First-time travelers are not preferred for this position. Patient types and common diagnoses include general, orthopedic, urology, GYN, podiatry, pediatric dentistry, burn, ENT, pain, and vascular cases. BLS certification is required. The role involves working collaboratively within a supportive department. Technology used includes an electronic medical record system and specific surgical equipment. Scheduling is primarily Monday to Friday from 0630 to 1700. Weekend rotations consist of being on call every 8th to 10th weekend and one night during the week, five out of ten weeks. Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays. Requests for time off must be approved by the manager. Scrub colors are green and are provided by the facility.
