Join an outpatient clinic and hospital setting as a locum tenens Gastroenterologist, providing crucial care to patients in Fortuna, CA. Engage in diverse procedures including ERCP and fluro, and handle a busy schedule with both weekday clinics and night calls. The position offers flexibility and includes 24-hour weekend call coverage, starting in January 2026.

    • Job Responsibilities

  • Perform upper and lower GI endoscopies, including ERCP and liver biopsies
  • Manage a patient load of 12-16 patient encounters per shift
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for comprehensive patient care

    • Qualifications

  • Must have an active CA license
  • Board Certified in Gastroenterology required
  • Completion of Fellowship in Gastroenterology preferred
  • ERCP and fluro procedures expertise is required

    • Working Hours

  • Weekday clinic hours, 7 : 30 AM - 3 : 30 PM or 7 : 40 AM - 3 : 40 PM
  • Night call from 5 : 00 PM until 7 : 30 or 7 : 40 AM the next day
  • Weekend 24-hour call coverage

    • Skills

  • Proficiency in endoscopic procedures and related therapies
  • Strong diagnostic skills, especially in internal medicine and gastroenterology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to handle emergency cases and effectively manage call backs
