VP of Corporate Accounting

Responsibilities

:

The VP of Corporate Accounting will:

• Manage and mentor a team of two Accountants with their duties, including general accounting, financial reporting, and liquidity management
• Manage firm liquidity and prepare cash reporting package for presentation to Chief Financial Officer
• Review and enhance balance sheet reconciliations and ensure adequate support for all balance sheet accounts
• Responsible for the preparation and analysis of quarterly financial statements
• Improve, formalize, and help document processes related to the monthly close with the goal of shortening the days required
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of Accounting experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• Experience with Accounting software
• Solid analytical, mathematical, and research skills
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized

Desired Skills:

• Master's Degree
• CPA or parts passed
• Experience in a Leadership and/or Management role
• Previous experience in the Financial Services industry
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365
