Orientation business day prior to shift in afternoon

Dec 28-31 (ending Jan 1 am) will need to do onboarding the day prior (Dec 27)

Round in the NICU at least once per day then cover calls from the nursing staff and come to the hospital based as patient condition requires. NO rounding in nursery - peds hospitalists round in the nursery.

Trauma Level / Designation : - Level II Trauma Center

Average worked Callback Hours : 6.5 hours

• Admissions / Patients per day : NICU patient daily census between 7-12
• EMR : Cerner Care B
• Support Staff : NICU nurses, Family Practice Residents (which the neonatologist supervises / teaches while they are on Nursery rotation). Laborists and Pediatric Hospitalists. No APP support
