PRIMARY PURPOSE
The Senior RN is a licensed professional who coordinates patient care delivery within the healthcare team using the Parkland nursing professional practice model. You will assess patients, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient responses. Your expertise will help ensure smooth transitions through healthcare encounters, minimizing complications or delays.
MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS
Education : Graduate of a Registered Nursing program. Bachelor's in Nursing Degree (BSN) preferred.
Experience : 2+ years of nursing experience required, preferably in an acute care setting.
Certification / Registration / Licensure :
- Current RN license or valid temporary license with the Texas Board of Nursing; or valid Compact RN license.
- Current healthcare provider CPR certification from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network.
Skills or Special Abilities :
Deliver patient-centered care in accordance with the Texas Nurse Practice Act and established protocols.Conduct continual patient assessments and consult with interdisciplinary team members as necessary.Demonstrate independent judgment and effective communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare staff.Provide mentorship to nursing staff, serving as a preceptor and Charge Nurse when needed.Initiate and prepare educational programs for staff development.Responsibilities
