JOB TITLE : Material Handler

DEPARTMENT : Shipping and Receiving

FLSA STATUS : Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO : Foam Supervisor

SUMMARY :

Under the direction of the Foam Supervisor, the Material Handler is responsible for the distribution of materials.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Transacts the physical product from one area to another via kitting and / or direct floor requests
• Ensures workstations are filled up with work
• Keep WIP areas filled up and material flowing throughout their respective area of responsibility
• Inform Supervisors when WIP areas are below or above expected levels of material, components or WIP
• Pick up completed jobs and place them in queue area
• Help expediting reworks
• Replenish working stations with raw materials and supplies
• Identify opportunities for improvement and communicate them to Supervisor
• Implement and follow up projects for Continuous Improvement
• Audits
• Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required
• Follow up with reworks sent to other departments
• Fill up and send requisitions of department consumables
