Other skills and/or qualities necessary for this position are effective verbal and written communication skills; holding a core belief in Biblical integration within a framework of academics, with the ability to implement and expand such a framework; a genuine willingness to work closely with students and colleagues; a high energy level; and, of course, a good and enduring sense of humor!
Job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Works under the supervision of a teacher or instructor.
- Watches and supervises students.
- Gives students additional attention and instruction.
- Is present and engaged during class sessions.
- Supports teacher's lessons by reviewing material with students.
- Contributes to lesson plans and class materials.
- Prepares classroom for the sessions.
- Enforces school and class rules to help teach students appropriate behavior.
- Helps teachers prepare for instruction by getting materials ready or setting up equipment.
- Assists teachers with recordkeeping, such as calculating grades and tracking attendance and tardiness.
- Helps evaluate students in class, between classes, during lunch, breaks, or recess.
