As t he Materials Lead you will be responsible for supervising and guiding a team of materials specialists to ensure efficient receipt distribution staging and tracking of fabricated and purchased components. This role provides leadership in inventory management job bin / cart organization and material flow across the production floor. The Materials Lead partners with purchasing engineering and assembly teams to maintain accuracy timeliness and cost-effectiveness in materials handling while fostering a culture of teamwork accountability and continuous improvement.

Are you passionate about this work

• Oversee receipt and distribution of fabricated and purchased components to production floor or job carts ensuring conformance to purchase orders.
• Direct issuance of materials to machines as prioritized by area supervisors.
• Manage preparation of fabricated parts for outside finishing including purchase order creation.
• Initiate and oversee job bins / carts for each project ensuring proper signage staging and maintenance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct and supervise periodic inventories lead participation in annual inventory programs.
• Communicate replenishment needs to purchasing and ensure timely restocking of materials.
• Review shop drawings with team to confirm receipt of proper parts.
• Oversee receipt of finished goods from production departments and ensure proper staging for shipment.
• Respond to assembly personnel requests for part status information and verify short sheets before assembly starts.
• Ensure compliance with procedures while promoting continuous improvement initiatives.
