Hadoop/Cloudera Developer

The Hadoop/Cloudera Developer position will assist with the design, implementation, and maintenance of Hadoop solutions using Cloudera distribution on Teradata hardware. You must have working knowledge in Hadoop implementation and administration utilities. This position will also develop and perform maintenance for custom .Net software solutions. Sharing knowledge and mentoring team members within the organization are key to this role.

Expected experience to be considered for this role:

• Experience with Hadoop development and implementation.
• Experience with Hadoop data loading utilities from disparate data sets.
• Experience analyzing and querying Hadoop data stores.
• Experience with Hadoop security and data privacy.
• Experience in logical and physical data store design
• Experience with .Net software development.
• Preferred experience with Cloudera distribution.
• Preferred experience with Informatica Power Center
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

You will perform:

• Administers existing databases.
• Analyzes, designs and creates new databases.
• Participates with a team of software, business analysts and database developers responsible for delivery of dashboards and database/web based applications.
• Performs data modeling and database optimization.
• Understands and implements schemas.
• Interprets and writes complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Proactively monitors systems for optimum performance and capacity constraints.
• Applies development skills to complete tasks.
• Responsible for database schema design, extensive T-SQL development, integration testing and other projects

Required minimum experience to be consider for this role:

• Three years MS SQL Server database experience required.
• Two years C# and/or asp.NET experience preferred.
• Programming experience with emphasis on designing complex t-SQL that scale well and are optimized for use in a high volume environment preferred.
• Experience in the physical and logical design of database architecture preferred.
• Diverse technology background required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational and analytical skills required.
