Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support the busy Internal Medicine Department, working exclusively with adult patients. The primary responsibilities include assisting with treatments, conducting patient interviews, and supporting minor procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Support the busy Internal Medicine Department working exclusively with adults.
Assist with treatments ordered by providers as supervised by providers or RNs.
Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information in patient charts.
Conduct basic triage (height, weight, blood pressure).
Assist in minor procedures including injections (adult vaccines like flu, TDAP), EKGs, and POC testing (strep, flu, Covid, urinalysis for pregnancy).
Prepare rooms for the next patient and perform basic clerical duties.
Perform basic material management by stocking rooms and supply closets.
Qualifications
CMA Required
1-3 years of consistent MA experience
BLS Required
Skills
EKG Experience
Injection Experience (flu shots)
