As a Security Officer - Logistics Access Control in Charleston, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and unauthorized access. Your presence and attention to detail will contribute to a secure environment for staff and visitors. You will interact with individuals entering and exiting the site, verify credentials, and provide outstanding customer service. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a team that values reliability, innovation, and integrity while supporting a dynamic logistics operation.

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities according to company and client procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and / or delivery personnel to provide assistance and information as needed.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to maintain a secure environment at the logistics and distribution location.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Experience working in environments with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
