Business Development Manager – Cincinnati, Ohio

Location : Cincinnati, OH (Local market focus | Field & client-facing role)

Employment Status : Full-Time | Active

Base Salary : USD 57,000 – 60,000 + Uncapped Commission

Experience Level : 2–30 Years

Work Authorization : Must be a U.S. Citizen

About the Role

We are seeking a driven and resilient Business Development Manager to build and grow new client relationships while expanding existing accounts within the local market. This role is ideal for a competitive, well-spoken sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment and is motivated by performance-based earnings.

Compensation & Incentives

Base Salary : USD 57,000 – 60,000

Uncapped Commission Structure

  • 10% GP on self-generated new business
  • 4% GP on assigned / house accounts

Commission paid on :

  • Temporary staffing GP
  • Direct hire placements
  • Conversions
  • Year 1 Goal : ~$3,000 per week in GP by the end of the first year

    What You’ll Do (Day-to-Day)

  • Identify and pursue prospective clients within the local market
  • Conduct outbound sales calls and in-person client visits
  • Drive the full sales cycle from initial contact to close
  • Build strong relationships with community organizations and business leaders
  • Grow and expand service relationships with existing clients
  • Present value-driven solutions aligned to client needs and market trends
  • Conduct quality reviews and monitor contract compliance
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and sales documentation
  • Promote a culture of accountability, persistence, and high performance
  • Sales Activity & KPIs

  • 75 outbound sales calls per week
  • 50 weekly field activities (drops, visits, meetings)
  • Prospect meetings :

  • 0–6 months : 3 per week
  • 6+ months : 5 per week (minimum 2 pre-scheduled)
  • Visit current clients at least once per month
  • Close 2 new accounts per month
  • Must-Have Qualifications

  • Proven sales experience with the ability to clearly articulate success
  • Experience managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing
  • Ability to build strong relationships with community organizations
  • Demonstrated success growing existing client accounts
  • High grit, resilience, and comfort hearing “no”
  • Strong motivation to earn, win, and succeed
  • Collaborative team mindset
  • Well-spoken, polished communicator
  • Competitive without aggressive sales tactics
  • Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Staffing or recruitment industry experience (preferred)
  • Experience in fast-paced, customer-facing sales roles
  • Background in insurance sales, membership sales, or similar quota-driven environments
  • Strong ownership mentality and self-driven work ethic
  • Relentless approach to building new relationships
