Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Court Attorney located in Bronx, NY.

Court Attorneys research and analyze legal issues and questions and perform other related duties. They serve in a confidential capacity.

This position is assigned to Hon. Harold Bahr, Civil Court Judge located in Bronx County Criminal Court. Duties include but are not limited to :

• conferencing cases with attorneys and pro se litigants,
• assisting parties in reaching a settlement;
• conducting legal research;
• conferring with and advising the judge on legal issues;
• drafting orders and legal opinions to be reviewed by the court;
• assisting the judge during bench and jury trials;
• preparing jury charges and instructions;
• conferencing proposed jury charges with attorneys;
• drafting responses and / or responding to inquiries; and
• general clerical and office duties.
