Maintenance Mechanic

Harvey Vogel Manufacturing Co., a leader in metal stampings, has an immediate opening for a qualified Maintenance Mechanic.

The successful candidate is responsible for electrical/electronic systems, equipment, and facilities maintenance which include repair/layout, or modification of facilities/equipment. This includes repair on a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment. Diagnosing and correcting mechanical/electrical/electronic problems. Troubleshooting knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems necessary to maintain, repair, troubleshoot, move machine tools.

Essential job duties and responsibilities:

• Must have the ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical prints diagrams, and technical repair manuals.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and necessary safety precautions applicable to maintenance work.
• Knowledge in the general repair of building equipment.
• Ability to operate, install, and repair machinery and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use diagnostic equipment to test circuitry and components.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and control systems.
• Read and interpret schematics to diagnose issues effectively.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests.

Education/Experience/Skill Requirements

• 5-7 years or equivalent Maintenance Mechanic experience
• Trade Knowledge in areas such as plumbing, welding and mechanical process preferred.
• Vocational/Trade school or equivalent training in the following areas electrical/electronics, hydraulics, mechanical drives, pneumatics, and machine operations.
