Company Description :
Plastic Molding Technology (PMT) manufactures high precision plastic parts for automotive, telecommunications, medical device, renewable energy, and industrial customers. The primary manufacturing processes are injection molding and thermoforming. PMT has ~100 injection molding presses at its two primary manufacturing locations in El Paso, TX and Centennial, CO (a suburb of Denver). A third facility in Longmont, CO (a suburb of Denver) provides in-house repair and fabrication of tools & dies.

What you’ll do :
Oversee all production shift personnel, assigning work, review performance, makes salary recommendations, provides coaching and counseling when necessaryPerforms process troubleshootingLead a small team of associates in execution of Production tasks, work schedule, training, maintenance, and continuous improvementTraining of all production colleagues and support staffEnsure the effective use of a personnelMonitoring and increasing efficiency in utilization and productivityPrioritizes mold set-ups and manningCollects and monitors machine down time and implements plan to reduce downtimeMaintains production and maintenance logs as requiredPerforms mold setups / startups as requiredCoordinates activities with support departments to ensure production metrics are achievedEnters and maintains all production dataImplements lean initiatives and prioritize 5S on the shiftMeets or exceeds Quality Goals working closely with the QC DepartmentContinuous Improvement of the department through Lean initiativesPerform other duties as assignedEnforce safety standards on all areas of the production floorWhat we’re looking for :
High School Diploma or GED EquivalentMinimum 5 years of injection molding experienceMinimum 3 years of shift supervision experienceAbility to speak, read and write EnglishBasic math skillsComputer literacy to include Word, excel and applicable software programsAbility to communicate effectively with all levels of personnelExperience with plastics technology, electricity, electronic circuitry, molding and hydraulicsGood problem solving skills; Dependable and self-motivatedWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; talk or listenThe employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; lift overhead; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlThis position requires frequent manual dexterity in combination with eye / hand coordination such as keyboarding and assembling small partsSpecific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focusThe employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 60 poundsPlastic Molding Technology does not accept unsolicited resumes from staffing agencies or third-party recruiters.
