Role and Responsibilities :

• Completes, oversees and reviews tax return preparation including completion of planning and wrap-up procedures
• Maintains and develops strong relationships with clients by meeting with client leaders and other stakeholders to understand their business and trends in their industry
• Supervises, trains and instructs staff and senior associates on engagements and ensures all deliverables are accurate and conclusions are documented properly
• Oversees creation of engagement plans and approaches for team members and confirms all firm standards are met
• Evaluates and adjusts engagement processes and approaches to ensure projects are completed accurately and efficiently
• Supports department's overall planning efforts including assignment of projects, creation of project budgets and development of department's staffing plan
• Monitors and reviews engagement realization reports and budgets for projects they oversee
• Reviews client issues, evaluates solutions, determines recommended approach and communicates with clients and firm leaders
• Oversees technical research completed by team members and provides a summary of findings to engagement team and clients as needed
• Performs complex technical research
• Focuses on professional and leadership development
• Participates in hiring, on-boarding and training programs for department
• Supports and participates in implementation of special projects to improve the department and firm
