Sr. Benefits Analyst
The Sr. Benefits Analyst administers and analyzes employee benefits programs by preparing management reports, researching and evaluating benefit plans, monitoring legislative changes, and analyzing trends to assess organizational impact. This role involves data analysis, vendor management, and employee support to ensure compliance, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with organizational goals.
Major responsibilities and tasks / duties of the position include :
- Overseeing the day-to-day administration of company benefit offerings by managing enrollments and vendor coordination to ensure accurate and timely delivery of benefits.
- Conducting audits and maintaining accurate records by reviewing data to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations.
- Analyzing benefits utilization, costs, and employee satisfaction by interpreting data and feedback to identify improvement opportunities and optimize program value.
- Preparing reports for HR leadership and finance teams by compiling and summarizing key metrics to support strategic decision-making and budget planning.
- Overseeing and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations (ACA, HIPAA, etc.), benefit plan-related filings including COBRA Notices, W2 Distribution, OSHA 300, Form 1094 / 1095-C, and others, by preparing and submitting accurate documentation to meet regulatory requirements.
- Developing and delivering communication materials for open enrollment and benefits education by coordinating timelines with third-party administrators, testing enrollment platforms, managing data requests, partnering with Payroll for elections and year-end reporting, and assisting with SPD reviews to ensure accurate information and a smooth employee experience.
- Conducting benefit orientations for new hires by presenting program details and answering questions to ensure understanding from day one.
- Consolidating costs for preparation of the company benefits budget by gathering expense reports and forecasting future costs to support planning and cost control.
Required skills include :
