We are seeking up to ten experienced shipyard painters or laborers who have performed surface preparation work. This role involves working at the Naval Operating Base (NOB) and requires a Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) credential. The position initially offers a one-month contract with the potential for an extension up to ten months, providing a long-term opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Perform surface preparation tasks for painting projects.
• Mix paint and prepare materials according to specifications.
• Utilize tools such as needle guns for paint preparation tasks.

Essential Skills

• Experience in shipyard or similar environments.
• Proficiency in surface preparation techniques.
• Ability to mix paint and prepare materials accurately.
• Familiarity with tools such as needle guns.

Work Environment

This position involves working in a shipyard environment at the Naval Operating Base (NOB). Proper protective gear is required for safety. A Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) credential is necessary to access the worksite.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
