FINANCIAL ANALYST

Our client, a public sector organization dedicated to affordable housing and community development, is seeking a FINANCIAL ANALYST to join their team. As a FINANCIAL ANALYST, you will be part of the Finance Department supporting housing and capital improvement programs. The ideal candidate will have analytical thinking, strong communication skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title : FINANCIAL ANALYST

Location : Oakland, CA

Pay Range : $64.91 per hour

Shift :

Day shift 8am to 5 pm

8 hours per day, with every other Friday off.

What's the Job?

• Lead and coordinate the budget development process for assigned departments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare, review, monitor, and analyze departmental budgets and expenditures to identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform ad-hoc financial analyses and communicate findings clearly both verbally and in writing to management and stakeholders.
• Monitor spending to ensure compliance with budgets, contracts, and Board approvals, and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Support fiscal analysis of capital improvements and rehabilitation projects, including preparing financial feasibility projections and budgets.
