Schedule : MondayFriday 7 : 00 AM 2 : 45 PM

Hours : 40 hours per week

Pay Rate : $45$48 per hour

Job Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated SPED Cross Categorical Assistant to support students with diverse learning and behavioral needs. This role involves working directly with students in both inclusive and specialized classroom settings helping them remain engaged organized and supported throughout the school day. The ideal candidate is patient dependable and adaptable in a dynamic educational environment.

Responsibilities

Provide individualized academic support across multiple subjects

Assist in implementing IEP accommodations modifications and behavior support strategies

Reinforce instruction under the direction of teachers and specialists

Monitor student behavior and promote positive classroom conduct

Support classroom routines transitions arrival / dismissal and small-group activities

Document observations and student progress as required

Encourage social skills development and positive peer interactions

Maintain a structured supportive learning environment in alignment with school policies

Qualifications

Prior experience working with children or in a special education setting preferred

Experience as a paraprofessional classroom assistant ABA therapist or similar role is a plus

Ability to follow instructional guidance and consistently apply interventions

Strong communication skills with a calm and patient approach

Reliable punctual and able to commit to the full contract duration

Comfortable supporting students with additional academic or behavioral needs
