The Opportunity

Modern Tribe is looking for a Senior PHP Developer with advanced PHP experience to join our agency.

This role will offer you the opportunity to become a leader at Modern Tribe. You will be helping to build and inspire an awesome dev team working on innovative and large scale Laravel and WordPress installations. We are looking for a backend developer that is already actively working in PHP on a day-to-day basis. We want you to be as excited and as passionate as we are about what we are creating with PHP.

Responsibilities

Collaborate

Collaborate with the project strategist and other developers to articulate the best technological solution for the problem at hand

Analyze

Analyze user story acceptance criteria to ensure technical feasibility and point out potential issues

Lead

Lead a team of developers to make sure we can deliver on time, on budget and on scope

Architect

Architect and develop new features, custom functionality and frontend integration

Quality

Write high quality code with readability, efficiency and maintainability in mind

Develop

Develop and maintain complex Laravel and WordPress based applications. Implement complex features using modern PHP code and patterns

You will use your deep knowledge within PHP to solve both simple and complex challenges, across a variety of applications and websites. When paired with your understanding of best practices in accessibility, performance, and architecture, you ultimately produce code and experiences that are scalable and delightful.

Location

Work from anywhere and join our distributed team working across the globe. If your timezone is outside of US business hours, but you work at least 3-4+ hours of overlap each day, let’s chat. You should be fluent in English and just need a computer and a strong wifi signal to support daily video chats with the Tribe.

Compensation

This is a full-time, exempt position. Pay range is commensurate with background, qualifications and experience between $90,000-$110,000
