Job Summary
The CSPD Manager will coordinate and monitor all sterile processing and distribution functions such as decontamination preparation / packaging sterilization of surgical instruments and case carts. Responsible for the supervision of all Central Sterile Supply activities staff scheduling shift management and the coordination of surgical instruments and supplies to the OR and ancillary departments.
The primary mission is to build a cohesive team improve existing processes and customer satisfaction. The CSPD Manager will identify improvement opportunities in organizational structure business procedures and staff education that can provide operational financial and quality improvements to Sterile Processing. The CSPD Manager will work with the Administration and the Sterile Processing Management team(s) to implement improvement opportunities. The CSPD Manager is a hands-on working manager that will work cohesively with the SPD staff.

Minimum Acceptable Training and Experience :
Associates degree required; Bachelors Degree preferred
Minimal 7 years of experience in an acute or ambulatory sterile processing department.
Minimum of 5 Years of SPD leadership experience.
Current Sterile Processing Technician certification.
Strong initiative innovation organization and attention to detail are essential.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across various audiences.
Strong customer service and client relations skills.
Ability to work extended hours as needed.
Proficient in Microsoft word and Excel ability to create power points and give presentations.
Must be able to regularly lift to 30 lbs. stoop bend push and pull as required; standing for long periods of time should be expected.
