| Coordinates the Nursing Assistant Training Program for the facility |
| Teaches the course classroom and clinical lessons under the supervision of the Director of Nursing |
| Follows course outline and evaluates written competency through testing. |
| Evaluates skill competency following state and federal guidelines for nursing assistant training |
| Inform personnel of all program plans, changes, content, and follow-up to assure continuity between classroom and clinical application |
| Functions as liaison between the facility and community education resources |
| Performs other educational related tasks as directed by the Administrator |
| Maintains employee health records and assures State/Federal complaint with PPD and Hepatitis vaccination regulations |
| Schedules physicals and promotes positive employee health activities |
| Works in conjunction with DON/ADON to provide education related to quality assurance data conversion and evaluation for the QA program to educate and inform staff of facility QA needs and program to improve resident care |
| Recruit, interview, select, hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate nursing personnel and students |
| This also includes counseling and recommending suspension or termination to Director of Nursing or Administrator, as necessary. Maintains documentation to support the same |
| Maintain goal and objectives for quality patient care, consistent with facility and corporate goals and objectives |
| Analyze and evaluate nursing care of employees during probationary period to assure that standards of nursing practice are of the highest quality and in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act |
| Implements, Complies, and enforces Federal, State, and Local regulations |
| Implement and maintain facility policies, procedures, and personnel job descriptions, interpreting the same to personnel and interested parties |
| Assure that established policies and procedures are followed and recommend revisions |
| Supervise the training and orientation of all staff |
| Interpret principles of good management to nursing supervisors and management personnel setting good examples for them to follow |
| Encourage personnel to further their own educational growth and development |
| Maintain clear lines of authority and responsibility utilizing organizational chart |
