Conduct psychosocial/level of need assessments on inpatient units and ED; facilitate discharge planning and coordination of care. Obtain insurance authorization for treatment. Provide crisis intervention to patients, family members and caregivers. Facilitate individual, group and family therapy sessions as needed. Work as a member of cohesive multidisciplinary treatment team in order to meet the needs of the patients and their family/significant others.
Masters of Social Work from an accredited school of Social Work required. Licensed Social Worker in NYS as either a LMSW (required) or LCSW (Preferred). Minimum of two years of experience in acute Psychiatric setting preferred.
