Are you ready to take your emergency medicine skills to the next level? A fantastic locum tenens opportunity awaits near Morris, AL. This position is ideal for experienced Emergency Medicine physicians looking for flexibility and a rewarding environment.

Position Highlights :

  • Start Date

    • January 6, 2025

  • Shifts

    • Day shifts : 6 : 00 AM - 6 : 00 PM

  • Night shifts : 6 : 00 PM - 6 : 00 AM
  • Scheduling

    • Weekend shifts (days or nights) required

  • Block schedules not available

    • Job Responsibilities :

  • Provide emergency care in a fast-paced environment with an annual patient volume of 12,000
  • Work closely with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in a supervised model if applicable.
  • Ensure quality care with a focus on patient outcomes and safety.

    • Requirements :

  • Must be board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM)
  • Residency trained in an ACGME-accredited program
  • Certifications required : ATLS, ACLS, PALS, and BLS.
  • Proficiency with Cerner EMR system preferred.
  • Active Alabama state medical license required prior to privileges.

    • Additional Details :

  • Daily Census

    • Average of 32 patients per day.

  • 1-day orientation and EMR training.
  • Onboarding includes vaccination compliance (COVID, Flu, TB, Hepatitis, MMR).
  • No scribe coverage; independent documentation required.
