Electronic Technician I

SQM (Superior Quality Manufacturing) is seeking an experienced Electronic Technician I.

INITs corporate North American headquarters is in Chesapeake Virginia. Primary Responsibilities:

• Repair of electronic equipment basic testing and board repair
• Ability to work from detailed instructions and conform to strict quality assurance guidelines
• Assembly of electrical devices
• Use of hand and power tools
• Testing electrical devices
• Administrative and reporting tasks as assigned
• Manual Soldering (rework)
• Other duties as assigned

Skills:

• Must be able to function well in a team or group environment
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize duties
• Must be able to read and understand assembly drawings/schematics
  
• Must be able to communicate well

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to distinguish colors fine circuit detail and tones
  
• ESD protection required in manufacturing area

Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills Required:

• Associate Degree in Electronics preferred
• Knowledge of Windows XP and Windows 7
• Knowledge of digital and analog electronic circuitry
• Knowledge of trouble shooting procedures
• Proficient with Multimeters Oscilloscope Crimping and Power Supplies
• Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook
• Ability to read and comprehend technical documentation
  
• Excellent organizational skills problem solving techniques and accuracy are essential

Work Location: This position will be based at our corporate headquarters located in Chesapeake Virginia.
