We’re Hiring : Certified UPK Teacher

Port Washington Children’s Center

The Port Washington Children’s Center is seeking a warm, energetic, and dedicated Certified Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) Teacher to join our team. We are passionate about creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where young learners thrive.

Responsibilities :

Plan and implement engaging lessons aligned with NYS Pre-K Standards

Foster a safe, caring, and inclusive classroom environment

Collaborate with teaching assistants, staff, and families to support each child’s growth

Use developmentally appropriate practices to encourage curiosity, creativity, and social-emotional learning

Maintain accurate records and assessments of student progress

Qualifications :

NYS Early Childhood or Birth–Grade 2 Teaching Certification (required)

Familiarity with OCFS (Office of Children and Family Services) regulations

Experience in early childhood or UPK programs preferred

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Passion for working with young children and supporting their development
