A Board Eligible / Certified Orthopedic Surgeon is needed for a Michigan facility to provide call coverage starting in August. The position involves handling an average of 2-3 calls per weekend and offers competitive compensation, travel reimbursements, and malpractice insurance coverage. Candidates must meet specific credentialing requirements including BLS certification and recent case experience.

A Michigan facility is seeking a Board Eligible / Certified Orthopedic Surgeon to cover call with dates beginning as soon as August.

  • 24 hour Call only
  • Call volume averages around 2-3 calls per weekend
  • Located 2 hours to Detroit, MI
  • Offering competitive daily rates, hourly call-back, holiday pay. Call to discuss compensation.
  • Weekly Direct Deposit
  • Complimentary Medical Malpractice Coverage -$1M / $3M Limits
  • Travel Expenses Paid Airfare, Lodging, Rental Car, or Mileage plus associated fees like baggage, tolls, parking, etc.

o Schedule :

  • Three days of orientation prior to 8 / 29; ideally 8 / 26, 8 / 27 & 8 / 28

    • o Cases / Procedures :

  • Orthopedic Fractures
  • Tendon Ruptures
  • Wound / Infection Washouts
  • NO Spine Work
  • NO infected joint transfers

    • Credentialing Requirements

  • 100 cases in 24 months
  • BLS Certification
  • Board Certification or Eligibility within 5 years of Residency / Fellowship
  • MI License or IMLC
  • Medical School must be on the California approved list
  • All Residencies & Fellowships must be ACGME Approved
  • No large malpractice issues
  • Clean NPDB
