Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Craft individualized treatment plans tailored to clients' unique communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver engaging, one-on-one therapy sessions that focus on speech, language, fluency, voice, and dysphagia.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including occupational and physical therapists, nurses, and family members to ensure a well-rounded care approach.
• Educate patients and their families to foster therapeutic progress beyond the clinic.
• Participate in occasional inpatient services for speech therapy, maintaining care continuity through various treatment phases.
• Document patient progress in compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in ongoing learning and peer interactions to stay abreast of advancements in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• BLS certification is required within 30 days of employment.
