Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring an OK or compact RN license and current AHA certifications.

Responsibilities

Position located in an Adult PACU within a hospital setting

Care for a variety of post-anesthesia patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex

36 hours per week, 12-hour day shifts, three days per week

No on-call requirement specified

No local candidates within a 50-mile radius will be considered

Responsible for an assigned group of patients, including monitoring physiological data and intervening as needed

Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures

Administer medications and manage IV infusions and blood products

Document patient responses and any changes in medical orders

Interact with patients and families regarding care plans and discharge processes

Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate

Must follow hospital dress code and be prepared to adhere to training or orientation requirements

Requirements

Active Oklahoma or compact RN license required

Minimum of one year of RN experience required

Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required

Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required

Demonstrated knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, and procedures

Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to respond to cultural and language needs
