We are seeking a Staff Environmental Scientist (EIR Scientist 2) to join our Louisville, KY team! Come join us!

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Perform field work related to environmental, due diligence, remediation, industrial hygiene, and Brownfields projects in Kentucky, Indiana, and regionally.
• Work closely with the Environmental Department Manager to perform requested client/project tasks in both a field and office setting.
• Actively participate in professional and technical organizations appropriate for core skill set and client needs.
• Positively interact with internal and external clients, service partners, and contractors.
• Promote a safety-first culture that values proactive measures and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with other team members toward a common goal of providing client-centric services with high quality interactions and deliverables.
• Embrace and model the Atlas core values including trust, mastery, heart, and life

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, Geography, or other applied science,
• Minimum 2 years of experience (5+ years preferred) including a combination of field work, sampling, data evaluation, technical writing, and QA/QC in the environmental consulting field.
• Working knowledge of procedures and methodologies related to due diligence, site investigation, remediation, industrial hygiene, and environmental compliance.
• Experience in due diligence, including data collection and report writing for Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
• Experience with implementation of health and safety requirements.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently or in a team setting.
• Excellent problem solving and general scientific evaluation skills.
• Excellent time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple activities on an on-going basis.
• Must be able to pass drug screen and motor vehicle background check.

Technical Requirements:

• Experience with environmental consulting and technical (field) work in Kentucky and Indiana.
• Career path to attain qualification as an Environmental Professional as per ASTM E1527.
• 40-hr HAZWOPER training and 8-hour annual refresher.
• Accredited Asbestos Building Inspector in Indiana and/or Kentucky preferred.
