Are you passionate about equitable compensation practices and ready to make a meaningful impact? A leading California-based nonprofit is seeking a Compensation Analyst to support and enhance its staff compensation programs. This role plays a key part in ensuring compensation remains competitive, equitable, and aligned with organizational goals that support community-focused work.
Maintain and administer compensation databases and tools
Support the implementation of compensation strategies and related initiatives
Partner with Staffing & Recruitment on new hire offers, promotions, and internal moves
Evaluate jobs and maintain accurate job descriptions and job architecture
Conduct job evaluations and provide written salary recommendations
Assist with the annual compensation review process (merit, bonus, equity)
Conduct audits for data accuracy and compliance
Research market trends and best practices to inform compensation policies
Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local compensation regulations
Participate in required trainings, meetings, and cross-team collaboration
Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all work
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field; or equivalent experience
2+ years of experience in compensation analysis or administration
Strong analytical and data-interpretation skills
Clear written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to collaborate across teams and build strong working relationships
Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and organizational skills
Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
