Under the direction of the Supervisor Cash Posting, this position completes all payment postings to patient accounts. Reconciles payments and shortages for both paper and electronic EOBs.

Hourly Pay Rate : $16.22 - $23.92

Qualifications

Education

  • Requires HighSchoolDiploma or GED.

Experience

  • Prefer experience performing payment posting, healthcare patient accounting, medical insurance / billing / reimbursement, or related experience that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

    • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must have knowledge of hospital patient account systems and cash receipts processes.
  • Must have strong data entry skills and know 10-key by touch.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications such as Excel and Outlook.
  • Must be able to handle granular details regarding payments and contracts.
  • Must have strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
  • Must have the ability to apply math / business concepts to solve problems.
  • Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
