A company is looking for a Database Performance Engineer to optimize database performance and scalability in high-traffic data systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and indexes for low-latency performance
Manage and optimize large-scale database clusters, ensuring uptime and disaster recovery objectives are met
Collaborate with engineering teams to diagnose and resolve performance issues and conduct capacity planning
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a Database Engineer, DBA, or Performance Engineer with PostgreSQL
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
Experience with OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, or similar document-based databases is preferred
Proficiency in scripting or automation tools such as Python, Bash, Ansible, or Terraform
Solid understanding of data security, compliance, and access control principles
