Title: Sr DataStage ETL Engineer
Work Location: NYC, NY

Experience Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience working for US companies in the US.
- 4+ years of recent banking experience (since 2017).
- At least 7+ years of experience with IBM DataStage version 9.1 - 11.5.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with ETL using DataStage.
- 5+ years of experience with different flavors of RDBMS such as SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, and Vertica.
- At least 5+ years of strong experience in coding using SQL, procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Must have extensive experience writing complex mapping, operations scripts, and triggers to load data into data warehouses and databases.
- 2+ years of working experience in agile development practices.
- Specialization in creating, enhancing, and supporting multiple data pipelines.
- Performing enhancements to legacy platforms by providing scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Managing the development and deployment of new projects and enhancements in the ETL process using DataStage.
- Excellent and articulate communication skills to identify and discuss development needs or recommended approaches with team members.
- Advising developers on efficient database designs.
- Developing and maintaining ETL jobs using DataStage to load data into the data warehouse.
- Working with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop ETL jobs to meet those requirements.
- Writing and improving SQL Server T-SQL queries.
- Designing tables and picking data types.
- Using Profiler traces and other tools to find frequently run queries.
- On-call troubleshooting for SQL Server service outages.
- Deciding on appropriate solutions like clustering, log shipping, mirroring, replication, etc., to solve business problems.
