The Animal Hospital of Sint-Maarten is seeking a highly motivated, compassionate and enthusiastic associate veterinarian with great communication skills to join our team on the "Friendly Island" of Sint-Maarten. Experience is preferred, but all levels of experience are welcome to apply. We are a close-knit 2 doctor team with wonderful skilled support staff. We practice high quality medical care and provide the highest diagnostic / surgical tools (Idexx blood machines, digital radiology, ultrasonography...). Great quality of life if you seek to step away from the daily life hustle and bustle, and want to head to the beach after work.

The Veterinarian will be responsible for providing medical care to animals, performing surgeries, diagnosing illnesses, and creating treatment plans. Additional duties include conducting regular health check-ups, advising pet owners on animal care and preventive measures, maintaining detailed medical records, and collaborating with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure the highest standards of care.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in medical care, diagnostics, and surgical skills
• Experience in interpreting diagnostic tests and creating treatment plans
• Strong communication skills for advising pet owners and collaborating with staff
• Attention to detail and organizational skills for maintaining medical records
• Compassion and patience when working with animals and their owners
• Experience in a clinical or hospital setting is a plus
