  • Standard Pediatric Hospitalist procedures

    • JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Licenses : Active Mississippi license
  • Board : Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics or American Osteopathic Board of Pediatrics within 5 years post-residency
  • DEA : Active DEA Certification
  • Certifications : PALS & NRP required
  • Experience : Inpatient service to 24 patients within the past 24 months
  • Other Qualifications : MD degree required; three peer references (one from residency director or Chief of Medicine / Pediatrics, two from PCPs familiar with applicant's work)

    • DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide inpatient pediatric care and manage hospital admissions
  • Perform pediatric medical evaluations and treatment plans
  • Coordinate with nursing and specialty staff as needed
  • Participate in on-call coverage as scheduled
  • Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and comply with hospital standards
