Refrigeration Engineer

Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is experiencing unprecedented growth. As a result, we have a full-time position available for a refrigeration engineer. Responsibilities include conducting job-site surveys; calculating refrigeration requirements for process cooling and building loads; assisting in the development of project documentation including : drawings, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's), equipment schedules, details, specifications, scope of work, etc.; selecting and applying system equipment to new and existing systems; and coordinating technical specifications, delivery requirements, and quotation parameters with outside equipment suppliers, subcontractors and clients. Some travel will be required.

The successful candidate must have all of the following :

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in mechanical engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
• At least five years of relevant mechanical experience
• PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in other states

The ideal candidate will have experience with any / all of the following : project management; ammonia refrigeration design; chilled water / hydronic design; equipment selection; developing piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs); Microsoft Office software; mentoring less experienced staff.
