Location : Danville, KY 40422 (Kentucky healthcare jobs)

Unit : Medical / Surgical (Med / Surg) Unit

Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Contract

Start Date : December 1, 2025

Duration : 13-week contract

Shift : 12-hour night shifts (3 shifts / week)

Hours per Week : 36

Openings : 3 Registered Nurse positions available

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1700 - $1820

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Kentucky or compact state)

BLS Certification (required before first shift)

ACLS Certification (required before first shift)

Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg bedside clinical experience (2 years preferred)

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment and prioritize patient safety

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and create individualized patient care plans

Deliver high-quality, compassionate care in accordance with clinical protocols and safety standards

Supervise and guide Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and new staff

Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic health record

Participate in interdisciplinary healthcare team conferences and support patient rehabilitation programs

Initiate discharge planning and provide patient / family education from admission

Maintain a safe hospital environment by following policies and reporting hazards

Foster a positive team culture and participate in unit-based activities

Assume charge nurse duties as needed after orientation

Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education for nursing jobs
