Join Our Dedicated Hematology / Oncology Team!
As a Clinical Nurse II in our Hematology / Oncology department, you will play a critical role in the care and treatment of patients facing challenging health conditions. This position requires you to work 36 hours per week during the night shift.
Salary Range : $83,200.00 - $93,184.00
Key Responsibilities :
- Effectively implement physician orders, manage medications, initiate IVs, and administer treatments while adhering to company policies and regulations.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to monitor and assess patients' conditions.
- Systematically assess and evaluate each patient’s needs and responses to care.
- Utilize sound nursing judgment to manage patient care decisions and provide primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
- Administer prescribed medications as ordered and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.
- Provide guidance to ancillary personnel and maintain exemplary standards of professional nursing practice.
Minimum Qualifications :
Graduation from a professional academic nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree).Current NYS Registered Nurse license.Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).Previous experience as a Patient Care Assistant or nursing assistant is preferred.A commitment to continuous education and performance improvement.Knowledge of quality concepts and ability to utilize problem-solving techniques to enhance patient care quality.Thank you for considering a career with Albany Medical Center.
