Job Summary:
We are seeking a Resource Aide to assist teachers in implementing instructional activities and providing support to students with special learning needs in a educational setting. The Instructional Aide will work closely with teachers to reinforce lessons, supervise students, and assist with classroom management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Education or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience working with students in an educational setting. Experience with students with learning challenges is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
- Patience and empathy when working with students who may require additional support.
- Familiarity with educational technology and software is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in preparing instructional materials and setting up equipment for lessons.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need extra help.
- Monitor students during class, recess, and other activities to ensure a safe and positive learning environment.
- Help enforce classroom rules and behavior expectations.
- Collaborate with teachers to assess student progress and communicate any concerns or observations.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed to support the overall functioning of the classroom.
Must pass a Level II background screening and complete a safe environment education class.
