What You'll Do

As a Riverside Occupational Therapist, you'll help restore function, mobility, and independence for residents with a wide range of acute and chronic conditions by :

  • 📝 Performing assessments and developing individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based guidelines
  • 🛠 Recommending and training residents in the use of adaptive equipment for daily living
  • 📈 Monitoring and documenting progress for evaluation, billing, and care planning
  • 🤲 Modifying treatment to maximize therapeutic benefit and support safe discharge planning
  • 🧩 Collaborating closely with nursing staff, rehab professionals, and other care team members
  • 🧑🏫 Assisting in training students, new team members, and volunteers
  • 🧠 Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure holistic care delivery

    Qualifications

    Education :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy (Required)

    • Experience :

  • 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience preferred
  • New graduates are welcome to apply and will be supported

    • Licenses & Certifications :

  • Occupational Therapy License - Virginia (VDHP) - Required upon hire
  • NBCOT Certification (OTR) - Required upon hire
  • CPR / BLS Certification - Required upon hire (AHA / ARC / ASHI accepted)
